Attention Daycare Center Directors:
According to EMSA, there has to be at least one person who has completed the full 15 hours of training (CPR, First-aid, and Health and Safety) in your center. The Health & Safety is a one-time class but afterwards you need to take a CPR and First-aid class at least once every two years. We recommend your entire staff is trained in CPR & First- aid to be prepared for an emergency.
The four-hour CPR & First-aid class is offered at our site only on weekends and you have to take 4 hour CPR class and 4-hour first-aid class. These cards are valid for two years.
You will also need a "sticker" on your certification card. You can take these classes separately. You can only receive a sticker if you take the 4-hour CPR class or 4-hour first-aid class. Even if you are renewing your card the class has to be four hours long.
Safety Training Seminars no longer teaches the 7-hour Heath & Safety class. However if you need this training, please call us and we can refer you to the people that are able to teach this class.
Also we recommend offering the CPR and first aid training to the parents in your center. This is a great service and the parents really enjoy the convenience of taking the training at their daycare center.
